Last week Annalise decided she wanted to say a prayer before naptime, like we normally only do before we go to sleep at night. In it she said she was grateful for the fan, the window, Mommy, herself, and Mommy's head.

Last night in her prayers she expressed gratitude for Mommy's arm and her friend Anna's mouth.

  2. sounds so familiar! wait til she gets older. ian used to go on and on about how he was thankful for the backyard, the grass, the dirt, the bugs, the fence, the walls, the floor, the door, etc.

  3. Yes, Annalise is also often thankful for her pillow, her blanket, her sippy cup, her hair, her shirt, her binkie... it goes on and on, basically what she sees while she looks around the room trying to come up with stuff. Sometimes Dave accidently nods off when I let her go on too long. :)

  4. So sweet! Yes, the prayers may get really uncomfortably long, especially when you're pregnant, really hot, and tired and trying to get on with your night, but you have to listen to your daughter pray for everything under the sun.... It's good to have such spiritual children!
