Beach House Mini-Vacay and a Doctor's Visit

Last week Dave's BFF Austin surprised his wife with a little sans-children (for them) beach house mini-vacay with us. It was great to see them and the fact that Dave took off two days from work to do it made it even nicer. While we were there, we had to buy smoked tuna and salmon from Karla's Smoke House, the very best smoked fish EVER. Her hours are funny and random but it is worth waiting an hour for so while we waited we found an old train I could practice my photography by.

Our little family

The day after we got home from the beach we had Annalise's one-year check-up. She is 30 1/2 inches long (83rd percentile for height) and 19 pounds 10 ounces (20th percentile for weight). Her head was the winner though- she's got a 94th percentile noggin! At least no one can ever call her a pin-head. The percentiles were adjusted for the fact that she was almost 13 months. She got some shots and we had her blood drawn to check for allergies to wheat, milk, eggs, soy, and peanuts. They sent us the results in the mail and I waited on pins and needles and was floored to find that she is allergic to NOTHING. I really don't know what to make of that. Perhaps only that she is a rotten sleeper for no particular reason at all.

Lucky for her she is very cute.

  2. No level ones even! What is so strange is that she seemed to sleep so much better at first when I cut out wheat and dairy. After about a month the sleep pattern did go back to normal though.
