Grandma and Grandpa Fuhriman came over this week and while they were there, I asked Annalise if she could say 'Grandma,' knowing she couldn't. But she surprised me! "Mah-mah!" she repeated.
When I was little (a few days before I turned one) my mother told me that the lights on the Christmas tree went "twinkle, twinkle." Then she said, "Now, what do the Christmas lights do?" And I responded, "Tuh-kah, tuh-kah."
Today we put up our Christmas tree and I thought it would be fun to try to teach Annalise to say 'twinkle' too.
"The Christmas-tree lights go 'twinkle, twinkle, twinkle," I told her, and she listened seriously and stared, mesmerized, at them. "Can you say 'twinkle, twinkle?'"
"Tah-tah, tah-tah," she said so sweetly. :)
Love it!!!!
